The first attachment "redacted_hgeclipse_synchronize_view.png" is a screenshot having double-clicked (to open the Compare Editor) on the ".classpath" file. I don't know whether the fact the patches are part of an MQ series is relevant or coincident. So there is a good chance it is user error. Which is unfortunate from a diagnostic/error reporting perspective. I've tried to reproduce the same situation using a small test repo with a few projects, but in that case everything works as expected. This occurs regardless of whether "Windows | Preferences | Compare/Patch | General | Ignore white space" is checked (unsurprisingly, since they are not whitespace-only changes).

a non-empty patch, changing more than simply whitespace). Viewing the same repo through the TortoiseHg Repository Explorer or the command line (also using the TortoiseHg binaries) gives the result I expect (i.e.

When I attempt to open the Compare Editor by double clicking on any of the files changed in any of the patch sets, the dialog is shown to indicate no change (namely "There are no differences between the selected inputs"). In MercurialEclipse I can see the changes as part of the history (in the "Synchronize" view).

I have applied a series of patches using MQ from the TortoiseHg command line (I tried applying them using MercurialEclipse, but without success - the operation took longer than I was willing to wait but being able to apply them in MercurialEclipse isn't critical to me, I am most interested ATM in being able to use MQ for a code review process). The repo is shallow as I am just doing some testing, the original repo is in subversion I've just exported the state of the trunk at some point, and then imported it into a hg repo (using TortoiseHg) and then cloned it (also using TortoiseHg), and then opened the clone using MercurialEclipse.

I have a reasonably large (in terms of number of eclipse projects and classes) but shallow (in terms of revisions) mercurial repository.
